An updated listing does not make an old photograph new. Check the photographs you are relying on before booking, then ask for current visual evidence of the rooms and facilities that matter to your family.
Not every photograph has a dated record. No result does not mean that a photograph is recent.
Privacy in brief: the check runs in your browser session only, the report is deleted 60 minutes after it finishes, no photograph you upload is stored or sent to any third party, and only page and image addresses are sent to the Internet Archive. Full privacy explanation.
What this report shows. A verified historical match establishes that a matching version of the photograph existed by the recorded date. That is a lower bound: the photograph is at least that old and may be older. File-stated dates, archived page or address references, uncertain matches, “no dated record found”, “source unavailable” and “not checked” are shown separately and are never counted. Not one of those outcomes means a photograph is recent. Only the photographs listed were checked, not the whole gallery.
These findings concern the photographs, not the villa’s present condition. Older photographs do not, by themselves, show that a property is poorly maintained or inaccurately described.

Copy and send this request to the villa or agent. It does not accuse anyone and does not insert any date.
Sources currently enabled: the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine (archived copies of the listing page and of its photographs, matched by visual fingerprint and, where identical, by file hash) and the dates stated inside image files. No external image-search provider is enabled. Up to 20 unique photographs are examined per check; logos, icons, maps and unrelated recommendation cards are excluded by default, and the report states the number actually examined.
A verified historical match establishes that a matching version of the photograph existed by the recorded date. Where the date is sufficiently precise, the report can calculate a minimum age as of the check date. It does not claim to discover the first appearance anywhere on the internet.
An archive date or image-search discovery date is not automatically the date the photograph was taken. Older photographs do not, by themselves, show that a property is poorly maintained or inaccurately described. The question is whether the booking information gives you enough evidence of the property’s current condition.
Archives and image-search services do not contain every photograph. A missing record, an inaccessible source or an uncertain match cannot establish that an image is recent.
Before booking, ask when the photographs were taken and request current views of the bedrooms, bathrooms, pool, equipment and access routes that matter to your group.
At Mandarin Beach Villa, prospective direct-booking guests can request a live video walkthrough with Jaja, the villa manager. The website’s beachfront webcam offers a separate view of the area it covers; it does not inspect bedrooms or establish the condition of the whole villa.
“Before we confirm our booking, could you tell us when the current bedroom, bathroom, pool and living-area photographs were taken, identify anything that has changed, and provide recent photographs or a live video walkthrough of those areas?”
Look for a verified matching photograph in an independently dated historical record. This can establish that a matching version existed by that date, but not necessarily when it was taken.
