Which Christmas and New Year dates do you observe?
Tell the team the dates important to your family. Russian Orthodox Christmas is commonly observed on 7 January, while Old New Year is associated with the night of 13 to 14 January. Not every Orthodox tradition uses the same calendar, and not every guest observes every occasion. The booking should follow your stated travel dates and preferences.
Can the family discuss traditional meals?
Share the dishes, ingredients and dining routines you would like, and ask the chef what can be prepared or sourced. A private-chef conversation is useful precisely because families differ. It should not be interpreted as a guaranteed regional festive menu, religious service or imported ingredient supply. Confirm any specialist food or outside arrangement and how it is charged.
How should we plan a stay across several celebrations?
Check the live calendar for the whole proposed period and confirm the applicable minimum stay and package. Allocate rooms for the actual party and coordinate separate household arrivals. If you hope to host additional people for a particular meal, provide that attendance separately from the overnight guests. The family can then enjoy a winter holiday with a clear accommodation and dining plan.
